Absolutely the best care home for the resident. I am the carer of her brother and we love visiting her. Everyone is well looked after and happy, full of energy and life. 1000% recommended the manager and his team, brilliant place
I cannot praise the staff who have cared for my dad enough, not only in the last month but for his entire time there. The care, support, fun, love and dignity they have shown is nothing short of amazing. The staff always go that extra mile to make everyone’s day, treating all as individuals and knowing the likes and personalities of all the residents. They do remarkable work in what at times can be an emotional and stressful job.
My Dad moved into Thornhill in September 2023 for a restbite whilst mum was battling cancer and sadly passed away in October 2023, Dad never came out of Thornhill.
The love and care he received at Thornhill were unbelievably good, both professionally and personally. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We worried whether he would settle, but he did very quickly and became one of the characters thanks to the staff. Most people think they have to die before they meet an angel, but Dad didn’t have to wait; he met his angels long before at Thornhill, can’t thank them enough, and will be eternally grateful.
Excellent staff who go above and beyond with their care and attention, also very welcoming to residents’ family and friends, nothing is too much trouble. Activities provided to residents give great pleasure and enjoyment, especially encouraging them to join in. Very well kept rooms and a good varied menu catering for all needs, also knowing loved ones are safe at all times, cannot praise Thornhill enough, many thanks .
There are no words to express my gratitude, appreciation and thanks to all the carers and management at Thornhill House for their constant dedication and impeccable care they provide to the residents. Excellent, well-balanced meals, stimulating entertainment, activities, garden parties, fancy dress, the list is endless. Nothing is too much trouble for them. It’s very comforting to have the reassurance of knowing your loved one is being cared for to such a high standard. They are one big happy family at Thornhill House. Thank you very much, all of you, for everything.
They are friendly, welcoming & go above and beyond for all their residents & families. There are always events on that welcome everyone, I couldn’t recommend them enough.
The staff at Thornhill House, as a whole, are absolutely fantastic. Nothing was ever too much, whether it was for my Grandma or for my family.
My Grandma’s death was sudden, although she’d been battling with her illness for a while before she went to Thornhill. I never saw her as happy as I did when she was there. Thornhill is truly a home away from home, they make you feel at ease, offer emotional support, as well as maintaining a professional relationship with their service users, residents and their families.
I cannot thank them enough for making the last few months of her life enjoyable under the circumstances, even now she’s gone, my family and I still have a friendship with those at Thornhill House, and that says everything about the care they put into what they do.
I cannot honestly believe how good this care home and staff are. My father has been in for respite a few times, and it has been an incredible experience.
The whole atmosphere is clearly family-based and person-centred, with all the staff literally like family, many of whom have been there many, many years.
I am so thoroughly thankful for everything everyone has done for me and my family, and words just aren’t enough.
All staff go above and beyond for all residents. Doctors will be called if needed. The food is excellent. It’s clean. Management excellent.
